Alison McCostis, BS

Alison McCostis graduated from Fordham University with honors and a BS in chemistry in 2021. Her undergraduate research was in an organic synthetic chemistry lab synthesizing a novel organic semiconductor, pyrene diimide, via a complex experimental reaction mechanism. Since she was in high school, Alison has been fundraising for the Alzheimer's Association and keeping up with the scientific advances in the field. Alison joined the Geriatric Psychiatry Research Program in November 2021 and is the head study coordinator on one of our industry sponsored clinical trials, Clarity-AD. She also works on other studies within the program investigating Alzheimer's Disease and geriatric mood disorders. She plans to pursue a PhD in biochemistry with a focus on neuroscience. In her free time, Alison enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and reading.
