Aniqa Rahman, BAAniqa joined the Geriatric Psychiatry Research Program and Technology and Aging Lab after graduating from Mount Holyoke College in 2018 with a double major in Biology and Religion. In college, she worked in the Woodard Lab for two years conducting research on fat-body remodelling and post-eclosion genes in fruit flies. As a religion major, she studied ontology and hermeneutical phenomenology in the context of religious philosophy and history.
In the Geriatric Psychiatry Research Program (GPRP), Aniqa is working on a disease-modifying clinical trial for Alzheimer's disease (AD) as well as two intervention studies for the treatment of agitation and aggression in patients with AD. In the Technology and Aging Lab, Aniqa is currently developing a clinical tech project on medication management and collaborating on publications on the topic of personal health information (PHI) and informed consent in geriatric psychiatry. Aniqa hopes to attend medical school in the future. |
