Hannah Heintz, BAHannah Heintz is a 2015 graduate of the University of Vermont with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. As an undergraduate she worked in the UVM Family Development Lab researching parental socialization of coping and its role in physiological stress responses in young adults. Prior to joining the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry in early 2017, she spent 2 years as a mental health counselor specializing in DBT at McLean Hospital’s Gunderson Residence and 3East Continuum. She is currently the Clinical Research Project Manager in the Geriatric Psychiatry Research Program where she primarily oversees a multi-site clinical trial investigating treatment for neuropsychiatric symptoms of dementia. She is also conducting independent research examining biopsychosocial concerns unique to older adults and their relationship to a heightened risk of suicide. She plans to pursue further research regarding late-life mood and personality disorders while in graduate school.
