Rebecca Dickinson, BS, BA
Rebecca graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island Honor's College in 2021 with a BS in Cell and Molecular Biology - Biochemistry and a BA in Spanish. Her honor's thesis focused on the history of asylum in the United States and how it directly impacts Latin American asylum seekers. This thesis also looked to highlight potential areas for improvement by comparing the legal processes in the United States to that of Great Britain and Germany. In addition to her honor's thesis, Rebecca also completed three years of biochemical research in the Camberg Lab at the University of Rhode Island, where she studied the cell division protein ZapE found in E. coli.
Rebecca has always had a strong interest in mental health/psychology and elected to take various courses on the subject as part of her pre-med track during undergraduate. She hopes to one day use her science background and clinical experience to pursue an MD/PhD.
