Tamare Adrien, BATamare graduated from Wesleyan University in May 2019 with a BA, double majoring in Psychology and Neuroscience & Behavior. As an undergraduate, she was a research assistant in the Sleep & Psychosocial Adjustment (SPA) Lab for two years, examining the psychological impact of Tropical Storm Erika among adolescents and emerging adults in Dominica through various projects. As of June 2019, Tamare works as a clinical research assistant for the Geriatric Psychiatry Research Program (GPRP) and the Program for Neuropsychiatric Research (PNPR), led by Dr. Bruce Cohen. In GPRP, she works on observational-based (GMDD) and treatment-based (LFMS) studies focused on older adults with mood disorders. In PNPR, she actively recruits for Bioenergetics, a study examining abnormalities in mitochondrial function in older adults with Alzheimer's Disease. In the future, she plans to pursue a PhD in either clinical psychology.
